DONT ASK DONT TELL: REDEMPTION *QUEER PRIDE 2018* THIS SATURDAY!!!

As a community we have suffered many injustices at the hands of the ignorant and wicked-
It’s time for redemption.

This year Boston’s largest queer party, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, is throwing the pride celebration for the PEOPLE. Featuring a diverse lineup of performers, styles, genders and ethnicities this party is ALL INCLUSIVE. No one is left out.

Featuring live performances, DJ’s AND a drag show this is sure to be the hottest event of the weekend!

DJ SETS FROM:

LYCHEE
———-
Proprietor of Spontaneous Affinity, a monthly mix and interview series and occasional event platform focused on how dancefloors have shaped artists, and is a monthly resident at Distrikt 1 at Bossa Nova Civic Club in Brooklyn alongside Ne/Re/A.

Since starting to play out in 2012, she has played on lineups with artists including Objekt, Aurora Halal, Claude Young, Rrose, Hodge, and Legowelt. She co-founded, co-organized, and was a resident DJ at Boston's VISCERAL, a queer techno night focused on fostering a space for radical expression, from December 2016 through September 2017.

LUNAMARIPOSA
————————
Johan Calderon aka Lunamariposa is from Miami, FL. Now based in Boston, Johan has been a model for two years and a Dj for over a year now diving through the borders of multiple genres carelessly. With heavy influences from Dee Diggs (evlvtech), Get Face (spacetapes), and
GAMI (Internet Friends). They play out techno that is melodically composed to blend effortlessly with booty bouncing tracks. 1/3 resident at Brass Union for BRASH, a monthly queer party that happens every 4th Thursday. Come get with the mariposa bounce.

COLBY DRASHER
————————
Resident DJ and MC of his award winning party DADT, Colby has made a name for himself among the queer community. Providing welcoming, safe, alternative spaces for people to attend, he has been a figurehead for close to a decade. Aside from his promotional efforts Colby has been a DJ for 15 years and has opened for numerous national acts including Peaches, Le1f, Mykki Blanco, In Flagranti and Pansy Division. His musical selections are high energy and skirt any specific genre- although he does have a soft spot for house and techno.

LIVE PERFORMANCES BY:

NEW FAME
—————
Adrienne Mack-Davis and feleciacruz have spent the last 5.5 years traveling the world living a life of shows, service and self-development. With over 1200 performances and 75 workshops in 9 countries and countless cities/states the ladies have not showed any sign of slowing down. They have shared the stage with major USA artists Redman, Talib Kweli, The Pharcyde, Skyzoo and more as well as Vietnamese super stars like Kimmese, Suboi, and Hazard Clique. New Fame is officially a part of Jaunty Maniacs based in Saigon, Vietnam and often can be found in the middle of a mosh pit, head banging and hyping large crowds from the South to the North of the country. Their sound weaves effortlessly in and out of hip-hop based soul/pop melodies, uplifting lyrics and hard hitting instrumentals. Freestyling is an everyday thing and criss crossing genres is usually the case. Find yourself at one of their shows and you WILL feel good about yourself, smile, dance, yell and you 100% will want more!

BRANDIE BLAZE
———————
Brandie Blaze is a hip hop artist from Boston, Massachusetts. Inspired by female rappers such as Lil' Kim and Missy Elliot, Blaze's raw lyrics and dynamic stage presence allows her to compete with the boys and rep for the ladies. An activist and self proclaimed trap feminist, her hard hitting bars are how she stands up for herself and Black women everywhere. Starting as a singer as a child, Brandie transitioned to poetry and then rap as it became clear that vocal prowess wasn't her strong suit. Blaze's mission is to celebrate people that identify as women and femmes through the language of hip hop.
