DONT ASK DONT TELL: FLUX Ft. PISSY PUSSY *QUEER PRIDE 2019*

Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is Boston’s largest continually running queer party. With over eight years of celebrations and 100 events DADT is a staple of the queer community. We pride ourselves in our inclusivity displayed by our motto “All are welcome who welcome all”. Everyone with an open heart and open mind is encouraged to join our family. DADT is held once a month at Great Scott in Allston- but every Pride we go BIG!

Join us for our third annual party at The Sinclair in Harvard Square as we explore this years theme FLUX. The definition of the word means fluidity- and we are interpreting that as gender fluidity. Our society’s behaviors, laws and people are changing- lets be the torchbearers! Gender is as fluid as the water that keeps us alive. This year our show and performers represent that!

This years line up includes DJs, DRAG and a special performance by the internationally acclaimed designer and artist Pissy Pussy!

DONT ASK DONT TELL: THE 100th PARTY ft. e.MALE and Hundred

This is the 100th DADT. Therefore there is no way this event will not be 100.

Thats right, count em’ up any which way you can and you will get to the big three digits. Not long after our 8 year anniversary none the less. It's truly a blessing having come this far. And its all thanks to you, our beautiful community!

And it must be magic or something almost as unbelievable because it aligns perfectly with our infamous performer Hundred’s birthday!

What does that mean? We are leaving it up to the queen of chaos herself to stack the drag line up with who she wants! This should get interesting REAL QUICK. The line up will contain the following damned souls:

NUQUEER POWER
JUANITA PERCENT
KIRBIE FULLY LOADED
And of course HUNDRED

They have all assured me that this show will be extra fucked up in honor of Hundred so bring a rain jacket.

Featuring special guest DJ:

Wear your best look and join us for a special sneak peek of "Gender Bending Fashion" at the next edition of the MFA Late Nites, an after-hours celebration at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The event features a wide range of programming created in partnership with local organizations, artists, and more: (event information here https://www.facebook.com/events/569765813539115/)

Unlike normal DADT events, this will be a fashion focused, featuring models from Dapper Q posing on pedestals to the soundscapes of DJ's Coleslaw, Math3ca and Colby Drasher. Note the music will not be usual either- straying from dance and even at a lower volume. This is not a dance party.

With 3 thought provoking performances by:

Kurt Fowl
Akira Oni
Holly Water

More detailed information about the artists listed below:

Colby Drasher

Aside from his promotional efforts Colby has been a DJ for 15 years and has opened for numerous national acts including Peaches, Le1f, Mykki Blanco, In Flagranti and Pansy Division. Coleslaw

Coleslaw, aka Ian Diver, is a multimedia artist and performer based out of Boston who has been DJing in the local queer scene for the past eight years. They hosts drag brunch every last Sunday at Trophy Room, as well as appearing regularly at All Star Mondays at Machine Nightclub. @coleslawinthecorner

Math3ca

Math3ca was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but has been living in Boston since 2001. Like many involved in the scene, his love for music began when he heard his brother's collection of Baile Funk tapes at home. After moving to the United States, Math3ca started better curating his musical tastes when he was exposed to the gay nightlife scene in Boston. He befriended local DJ's: Brent Covington, James Derek Dwyer and Brian Halligan, and they soon became his mentors. He started by playing at small house parties among his friends, where the vibe was chill and the expectations were low. Soon enough he was asked to fill in for a gig for a DJ who cancelled last minute. After his first gig he circled around Boston as a guest DJ, fine tuning his music taste. In 2018 Math3ca finally created his own night, called LUV, with DJ James Derek Dwyer. This night was created the magical space Bella Luna Restaurant and Milky Way Lounge, the first gay bar Math3ca went to when he became legal. The inspiration for this night was to showcase his tasteful pop music and give back to the space he first partied at as a queer person.

Hungry to play a more alternative sound, Math3ca collaborated with local iconic Drag Queens: Sham Payne and Just JP, to begin his second night, Serving Face, at the historic and sacred space of Jacque's Cabaret: Underground. In this night Math3ca takes the crowd through his musical playground with music ranging from warm and energetic house, bouncy Baile Funk, bumpy ballroom/vogue and smooth and fluid Alternative RnB.

Math3ca also recently joined the creative mastermind team of Tiamarie (Heywhatsuphellno) and Static Queen to DJ a party called Gay Bash'd. This is a drag forward queer dance party with hardcore drag performers and a wide range of bumping music.

Math3ca deeply believes in supporting queer music spaces, providing queer music spaces, and the continuation of queer music spaces in and around Boston He is passionate about making sure the space will be there for future queers who need freedom from the outside world.
