DONT ASK DONT TELL: 90'S REALNESS

You a ‘creep’? Howabout a ‘freak like me’? Because I’ve heard ‘all that she wants’ is more than ‘gin and juice’. In fact, this ‘fantasy’ is all about more than ‘emotions’ its about a whole decade!!!

This month at Boston’s biggest queer party we throwing it all back to a very special decade, the nineties! Thats right, its all your favorite hits, all night long, to sing along to. ‘Groove is in the heart’ as you sport your favorite look to show off- when we think 90s fashion the possibilities are endless (and potentially ugly as sin) so have fun with it!

Resident DJ Colby Drasher will be on duty all night- expect to hear (but certainly not limited to):

Whitney Houston
Janet Jackson
Spice Girls
C+C Music Factory
Cranberries
Aaliyah
En Vogue
Brandy and Monica

~ PLUS ~

This months drag show will be ALL NINETIES and XXXTRA special as we introduce two new performers to the DADT stage:

Civilization

&

Kirbie Fully Loaded

——

There was so much great cinematography and TV from that decade so expect to see it all meshed together by our resident video artist and photographer Nick Day.

——

Restrooms at every DADT event are GENDER NEUTRAL
Our motto is ALL ARE WELCOME WHO WELCOME ALL so no disrepectfull touching, advances or language. This is a judgement free zone so if you can’t get down with that- don’t come.

Starting as a singer as a child, Brandie transitioned to poetry and then rap as it became clear that vocal prowess wasn't her strong suit. DONT ASK DONT TELL: VIRGIN NIGHTS III

VIRGIN NIGHTS III

There comes a time in every performers life, before they are a star, when they have a single thought through their mind. This thought is the culmination of many different experiences, people and stimulus all slowing aiming the individual in one singular direction; towards the stage.

On Saturday April 28th, DADT will host its third annual Virgin Nights event. What this means is the drag stage is strictly reserved for those who have never performed in drag and want to try it with other first timers. This is not a competition but rather a platform for anyones who’s ever wanted to try their hand crafting and executing a live performance in front of an audience.

How does one compete? Simply send an email to DADTBOOKING@GMAIL.COM with your real name, stage name, and an mp3 of the song you wish to perform. Then just wait for a confirmation email back from resident MC/DJ Colby Drasher and you are officially in the line up! ALL PERFORMERS MUST SUBMIT AN EMAIL AND RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION BY THURSDAY APRIL 26th TO BE ELIGIBLE! The stage is open to ALL genders and styles of performance. There is no limit to who can get on stage. Exclusion is not acceptable.

There may be one drag show or there may be two depending on how many people are eager to perform. But one thing is sure, when you are not on stage or watching the drag show you will be dancing your pant suit off.

Resident MC/DJ Colby Drasher will be spinning solo ALL NIGHT LONG. What this means is the music will be full throttle from open to close. A mixture of house, throwbacks, top 40 and hip hop bangers! No genre is safe!

*Photography and video projections by the illustrious Nick Day* so your first time in drag will be caught on film to share with the rest of the world.

DADT is Boston’s longest running, still active QUEER party for everyone. ALL ARE WELCOME WHO WELCOME ALL.
WE ARE A SAFE SPACE. Harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. We all gotta watch out for each other, so if you see something say something to one of the DADT staff or one of the bar tenders or bouncers.

DONT ASK DONT TELL: FLOWER POWER (BENEFIT FOR CEGV) FT DJ SASKIA

There have been 39 mass shooting in the United States of America since the beginning of 2018. Those mass shootings paired with daily gun violence in this country have resulted in 2,572 lost lives, and its not even April.

On Saturday March 24th there will be marches taking place in Washington, DC, NYC, Los Angeles, as well as right here in Boston. Not surprisingly it took our youth to motivate us to change- perhaps because they are some of the main targets of these attacks.

The NRA is a massive warship dedicated to lobbying our politicians to prevent any legislation from being implemented. Such an act would limit the NRA’s power, and probably provoke its downfall. There are several organizations standing up to combat the efforts of the NRA and one of the largest is the Coalition to End Gun Violence. Therefore, as a means of resistance DADT will be hosting a fundraiser for the the CEGV.
We will be donating all of the profits from the event.

~~~~ PEACE THROUGH SUPERIOR FLOWER POWER ~~~~
This event will be an uplifting celebration of life. We will dance to raise not just awareness, but financial assistance, to wage a peaceful war against the NRA. The theme is flower power so feel free to play around! Flowers in your hair? Hippy stylings? However you wish to interpret it!
::FEATURING SPECIAL GUEST DJ::
SASKIA
Saskia Rachmoninoshikovicherstraße is your new step-mom. Summoned to earth through sodomitical ritual, she has descended upon this planet to deliver sonic repentance. Her physical body is 70% sparkling water, 40% poured concrete, and 10% pure ether.
